Heading into the final week of the NFL regular season, Sunday Night Football is on pace to beat last year’s record low numbers.
Last Sunday’s Panthers/Giants game drew an 11.5 final rating and 18.9 million viewers on NBC, up 32% and 34% respectively from an 8.7 with 14.1 million for last year’s comparable Washington/Minnesota game.
The game finishes as the fourth-highest rated and fourth-most viewed NFL telecast of the year on NBC, behind three Cowboys games.
So far this season, NBC is averaging a 10.2 rating and 16.6 million viewers for 16 NFL telecasts, up 2% and 5% from a 10.0 with 15.9 million through the comparable point in ’07.
