FOX drew the lowest rating for an NFL Divisional Round game in eight years.
The Cardinals’ 33-13 win over the Panthers last Saturday night drew a 13.8/23 final rating and 23.8 million viewers on FOX, down 23% in ratings and viewership from a 17.9/30 and 30.6 million for last year’s Jaguars/Patriots tilt on CBS.
The 13.8 rating is the lowest for an NFL Divisional Round game since 2000, and the third-lowest rating for any NFL Playoff game since 2003.
Ratings peaked at at a 15.3/25 from 9-9:15 PM, before bottoming out at a 12.5/22 during the last full quarter-hour of the game.
Despite the lower ratings, Cardinals/Panthers finished as the second highest rated prime time program of the week, behind the BCS National Championship Game. Keep in mind that none of the other three NFL Divisional Round games aired in prime time.
