Despite featuring countless analysts, a bevy of celebrities and musical performances, ratings for NBC’s jam packed Super Bowl Pregame Show were down from last year.
NBC averaged a 10.5 rating for the Super Bowl Pregame Show Sunday, down 13% from last year’s pre-game on FOX. Ratings increased for every half-hour of the telecast, progressing from a 4.1 during the first half-hour (1-1:30 PM) to a peak rating of 32.5 from 6-6:30 PM, the half-hour immediately preceding the game.
From 5-5:30 PM, when Matt Lauer conducted his interview with Barack Obama, the pregame averaged a 13.6/27.
