Alex Rodriguez‘ confession to using performance enhancing drugs was a boon to ESPN’s television ratings.
Sports Business Daily reports that Monday’s 6:00 PM SportsCenter, which featured Peter Gammons‘ exclusive interview with Rodriguez, drew a 1.0 rating on ESPN, “43% higher than the week prior.”
In New York, Monday’s SportsCenter drew a 1.8 rating, “[quadruple] its local market rating” for the previous Monday’s SportsCenter.
ESPNews also saw a ratings bump, as ratings “doubled from a 0.1 to a 0.2” during the 7-8 PM hour on Monday.
