NASCAR ratings continue to slide.
The Kobalt Tools 500 drew a 5.5/12 final rating on FOX Sunday, down 14% from a 6.4/15 for last year’s race. The 14% decline is the largest of the season for a NASCAR race.
Originally, this site reported that the race drew a 5.4 rating.
The 5.5 final rating is tied as the third-lowest for the Kobalt Tools 500 since 1999, ahead of only the 2007 race and the 2006 race, which was rained out.
Through four races, NASCAR on FOX is averaging a 6.8 rating, down 9% from last year and down 4% from 2007. All four races on FOX have seen declining ratings compared to last season.
