The first game of the 2009 NFL season will feature the Titans of Tennessee taking on the titans of the NFL.
The NFL’s season opening game will feature the Titans taking on the defending champion Steelers on Thursday, September 10 in prime time on NBC. The game will air at 8:30 PM — ninety minutes later than last year’s season opening game, which was moved up to avoid conflicting with the Republican National Convention.
Titans/Steelers will be the first of two games on NBC during Kickoff Weekend. NBC will also air Bears/Packers on Sunday, September 13.
