Ovechkin is nice, but Crosby really moves the needle.
NBC drew a 1.7 overnight rating for the Flyers’ Game 3 win over the Penguins on Sunday, up a whopping 70% from a 1.0 for Flyers/Capitals in the same timeslot last year. The 1.7 overnight is the best for a non-Stanley Cup Finals playoff game since Game 5 of last year’s Conference Finals between the same two teams, which also drew a 1.7 overnight.
The game drew an 18.6/33 in Pittsburgh and a 7.0/15 in Philadelphia.
Meanwhile, the Capitals’ game against the Rangers on Saturday drew a 1.0, flat with last year’s game.
