ESPN will get serious for its coverage of the 2009 U.S. Open.
Tennis analyst John McEnroe will join ESPN2 for the network’s coverage of this year’s U.S. Open. McEnroe, who will continue as an analyst for CBS during the same event, will also make appearances on SportsCenter, ESPNews and ESPN Radio.
McEnroe previously worked as an analyst during USA Network’s coverage of the U.S. Open. There is no word on whether other USA Network personalities, such as Tracy Austin or Jim Courier, may make the move to ESPN.
