If the ratings are any indication, Versus is not the first stop for Chicago sports fans.
Game 2 of the Blackhawks/Red Wings Western Conference Finals drew a 1.3 overnight rating on Versus Tuesday night. In Chicago, the game drew a 5.5 rating, off 31% from an 8.0 for Game 1 on NBC.
The 5.5 rating is also lower than a 7.8 rating for the Blackhawks’ last playoff game on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
Red Wings/Blackhawks finished on top of the sports totem pole in Chicago, but not by much. Lakers/Nuggets Game 1 — which did not even involve a local team — drew a 5.2 rating on ESPN in Chicago, while Cubs/Cardinals on WGN drew a 5.1.
Despite the lower number, the 5.5 is higher than the 4.8 CSN Chicago averaged for its ten playoff games.
In Detroit, Game 2 drew a 15.5 rating.
