- The United States’ upset victory over Spain in the semifinals of the Confederations Cup has been deemed an “Instant Classic.” The match, which the U.S. won 2-0, will re-air at 11 PM Wednesday night on ESPN Classic. The U.S. team’s next match, the final of the Confederations Cup, will air at 2:25 PM Sunday on ESPN2.
- The 2009 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction is moving to MLB Network. The ceremony, which had previously aired on ESPN, will air on Sunday, July 26 at 1:30 PM on MLB Network, preceded by an hour-long studio show.
- MLB Advanced Media, YES Network and Cablevision have officially announced “the new offering of live streaming of Yankees games for Cablevision customers.” Starting July 8, Cablevision subscribers who receive YES Network will be able to watch YES Network Yankees telecasts online. The package will cost $49.95 through the remainder of the season, and $19.95 for 30 days.
