- Sports Business Journal reports that Comcast expects to begin streaming live 76ers games online around the start of the 2009-10 NBA season. The cable giant would make “the service available for an undetermined fee to anybody who subscribes to a cable tier that carries Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.” FOX Sports Net “is moving forward with its plans” as well, though its streaming services may not launch until during the season.
- ESPN’s College Gameday is headed to Boston for Saturday’s Florida State/Boston College game. Both teams are unranked. This is only the second time College Gameday has visited Boston College; the first time was in ’05.
- CBS has selected Florida/LSU as its prime time college football telecast on October 10. This marks the third straight year CBS has aired a Florida/LSU game in prime time. Last year’s game drew a 3.8 rating.
