For the first time in the 2009 NFL season, ratings dropped for the NFL on NBC.
The Colts’ blowout win over the Cardinals drew a 10.7/17 final rating and 17.5 million viewers on NBC Sunday night, down 20% in ratings and viewers from a 13.3/21 and 22.2 million for Cowboys/Packers last year.
The 10.7 rating is the lowest of the season for an NFL telecast on NBC.
Through Week 3 (four telecasts), NBC is averaging a 12.8 rating and 21.1 million viewers for NFL coverage, up 16% in ratings and 17% in viewers from an 11.0 and 18 million through Week 3 last year.
