Versus continues to draw solid numbers for coverage of the 2009-10 NHL season.
So far this season, Versus is averaging 342,000 viewers for coverage of the NHL, up 15% from 297,000 viewers through the same point last year. Tuesday, Versus drew 477,000 viewers for coverage of Flyers/Capitals.
That Flyers/Capitals game also drew a 0.6 cable rating, the highest cable rating ever for a regular season NHL telecast on Versus.
By comparison, IRL telecasts on Versus averaged 315,000 viewers during the 2009 season, regular season MLS telecasts averaged 290,000 on ESPN2, and regular season WNBA games averaged 269,000.
