Michael Strahan‘s new FOX sitcom did not get off to a very good start.
The series premiere of Brothers drew a mere 1.7/3 rating and 2.7 million viewers on FOX September 25, with a second new episode immediately after drawing the same numbers. The two episodes of Brothers were the second and third-lowest rated primetime television programs on the Big 4 that night.
Ratings did not recover for last night’s new episode. According to preliminary numbers, Brothers drew a 1.6/3 rating and 2.4 million viewers on Friday night, making the show the third-lowest rated primetime program of the night on the Big 4.
On the bright side, Brothers came in ahead of fellow FOX programs Til’ Death and Dollhouse, making it the highest rated program of the night on the network.
To put the numbers in perspective, Strahan gets a lot more exposure on FOX NFL Sunday, which averaged 4.4 million viewers through Week 3 of the NFL season.
