America’s team helped propel CBS to its highest rated NFL telecast of the season.
Sunday’s Chargers/Cowboys game drew a 14.7/27 final rating and 24.1 million viewers on CBS, down 6% in ratings and viewership from coverage featuring Cowboys/Steelers in Week 14 last year (15.6/28, 25.7 mil), and down 11% and 13%, respectively, from coverage featuring Cowboys/Giants last week (16.6/29, 27.8 mil).
Despite the declines, Chargers/Cowboys ranks as the highest rated and second-most viewed NFL telecast of the season on CBS. Only Raiders/Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day drew more viewers (25.2 mil).
Additionally, Sunday’s game stands as the 8th-most viewed NFL telecast of the season on any network.
