Overnight ratings for the 2010 NCAA Tournament are down slightly from last year.
CBS averaged a 5.3 overnight rating for the first four days of the NCAA Tournament, down 2% from a 5.4 last year, but up 4% from a 5.1 in 2008.
Coverage of the NCAA Tournament helped CBS win the night in primetime on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. CBS also won the night on Sunday, boosted by nearly an hour of NCAA Tournament overrun.
Overnight ratings for individual NCAA Tournament windows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday were unavailable. Thursday’s telecasts drew overnight ratings of 3.1, 3.5, 6.0 and 6.1.
