CBS did not draw very big numbers for the Conference USA and Atlantic 10 title games.
Saturday’s Houston/UTEP Conference USA Championship Game drew a 0.9 overnight rating on CBS, down 18% from Memphis/Tulsa last year (1.1), and down 10% from Memphis/Tulsa in 2008 (1.0).
The 0.9 overnight is the lowest for the Conference USA title game since at least ’01.
For perspective, the game drew a 2.1 overnight rating as recently as 2005.
Meanwhile, Sunday’s Temple/Richmond Atlantic-10 Championship Game drew a 0.8 overnight rating on CBS. This is the first year that the A-10 title game has aired on CBS; in previous years, the game aired on ESPN/ESPN2.
Overnight ratings for last year’s game on ESPN2 were not available.
