Less than two weeks after his felony arrest, Jay Mariotti‘s future with ESPN is murky at best.
ESPN currently has “no set plans to use” Mariotti, ESPN VP/Communications Mike Soltys told USA Today on Tuesday. Mariotti has been a panelist on Around The Horn since the show began eight years ago.
Mariotti has not appeared on ESPN since his August 21 arrest, though it should be pointed out that Around The Horn was off the air for most of that period.
While ESPN has not handed down any formal disciplinary action as of yet, Mariotti is serving a suspension from AOL’s Fanhouse.com.
