Despite the presence of the Cowboys, the NFL national window hit a season-low on CBS.
CBS drew a 12.7 final rating and 20.787 million viewers for the Week 5 NFL national window, featuring Titans/Cowboys — even in ratings and down 1% in viewership from Week 5 last year (NE/DEN*: 12.7, 20.915 mil), and up 1% and 4%, respectively, from Week 5 in 2008 (CIN/DAL*: 12.6, 20.010 mil).
This marks the lowest rated, least-viewed NFL national window of the season, and the first national window that did not have an increase in ratings.
Since drawing a 16.5 in Week 1, ratings have declined week-to-week for the NFL national window.
Despite the decline, Sunday’s telecast topped Sunday Night Football on NBC (10.3, 16.856 mil), marking the 13th straight week dating back to last season that the national window has topped SNF.
