It may have been a blowout, but Monday night’s battle between high profile quarterbacks and former teammates Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb had a big increase in overnight ratings on ESPN.
The Eagles’ blowout win over Washington earned a 10.5 overnight rating on ESPN Monday night, up 46% from Week 10 last year (BAL/CLE: 7.4), and up 24% from Week 10 in 2008 (SF/AZ: 8.5).
The 10.5 overnight is tied as the fifth-highest of the season for Monday Night Football (11 telecasts).
The ESPN telecast drew a 20.6 rating in Philadelphia and an 18.7 in Washington, D.C. As usual, the game was simulcast on local broadcast affiliates in both home markets, earning a 12.2 on Philadelphia’s WPHL and a 7.4 on Washington’s WDCA.
