ESPN is sticking with the familiar for its very first BCS National Championship Game.
Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit will call the 2011 BCS National Championship Game and the 2011 Rose Bowl on ESPN, reports USA Today. The network is expected to officially announce the announcing assignments on Friday.
This will be the fourth straight year that Musburger and Herbstreit have called the BCS title game. The duo called the 2008 and 2009 title games for ESPN Radio, and the 2010 game on ABC.
Erin Andrews will be the sideline reporter for both the Rose Bowl and the National Championship Game, filling the role held last year by Lisa Salters.
Meanwhile, the Monday Night Football team of Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski and Jon Gruden will call the Orange Bowl. Last year, Tirico and Gruden called the National Championship Game on ESPN Radio, along with Todd Blackledge.
Speaking of Blackledge, he and Brad Nessler will call the Sugar Bowl. Last year, the duo worked the Fiesta Bowl for ESPN Radio.
Finally, Sean McDonough and Matt Millen will work the Fiesta Bowl. As with the other broadcast teams, McDonough and Millen called a BCS bowl for ESPN Radio last year (Orange).
