NBA TV will debut its first newsmagazine-style show later this week, with one of CNN’s highest profile personalities serving as host.
CNN anchor John King will host the hour-long series True NBA on NBA TV, starting with Thursday night’s debut episode.
Each episode of the show will include “four exclusive stories that go beyond traditional sports reporting to look at dynamic players and memorable events that have impacted the NBA.”
Thursday’s episode features stories from TNT’s Jim Huber and David Aldridge, NBA TV analyst Rick Fox, and King himself, who will profile former NBA player Chris Dudley‘s failed bid in the Oregon gubernatorial race.
True NBA will air periodically, with the second episode scheduled for the 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend.
