The resurgence of the New York Knicks has translated to increased ratings on MSG Network, including a nine-year high for Wednesday night’s game against the Celtics.
The Knicks’ loss to the Celtics drew a 3.61 rating on MSG Network Wednesday night, the network’s highest rating for a Knicks telecast since Wizards/Knicks in October 2001 (4.76).
That 2001 game featured Wizards G Michael Jordan in his first game back from his second retirement.
Wednesday’s game also aired on ESPN (for the national rating, click here). Including the ESPN telecast, Celtics/Knicks drew a 6.27 rating in the New York market.
So far this season, MSG Network is averaging a 1.27 rating for Knicks telecasts, up 17% from last year (1.09).
