Golf’s final major will stay on CBS through the end of this decade.
The PGA Championship will remain on CBS through 2019, CBS Sports and the PGA Tour announced Thursday.
Under the new eight-year deal, CBS will continue airing third and final round coverage of the event.
The CBS deal will run concurrently with a previously announced agreement between the PGA and Turner Sports, calling for TNT to air coverage of the event through 2019.
CBS first acquired rights to the PGA Championship in June 1990, televising the event for the first time in 1991.
