The FOX show Glee hit a series-high in the post-Super Bowl timeslot, but was down significantly from last year’s post-Super Bowl program in ratings, viewership and adults 18-49.
Sunday’s post-Super Bowl episode of the FOX program Glee earned a 13.6 fast-national rating and 26.8 million viewers, down 28% in ratings and 31% in viewership from Undercover Boss on CBS last year (19.1, 38.654M), but up 19% and 17%, respectively, from The Office on NBC two years ago (11.6, 22.905M).
The 13.6 rating is a series-high for the show.
Among adults 18-49, Glee earned an 11.1 rating, down 32% from last year (16.5), up just a tick from 2009 (11.0), but the highest rating in the demo for a scripted television series in three years.
The last FOX program to air after the Super Bowl, a 2008 episode of House, drew a 15.7 rating (12.9 among adults 18-49) and 29.045 million viewers.
In other non-sports Super Bowl ratings news, the Super Bowl XLV halftime show drew a 44.7 fast-national rating, the highest since the late Michael Jackson performed at halftime of Super Bowl XXVII in 1993 (45.5).
