Recent sports TV ratings news, including a record local audience for the Grizzlies, and near-records for the Predators and Bulls.
- Grizzlies Set Ratings Record: Wednesday’s Grizzlies/Spurs Game 5 drew an 11.8 rating on SportSouth in Memphis, the highest rating ever for a Grizzlies game on the network. The national NBA TV telecast of the game — which set a viewership record of its own — was blacked out locally. (commercialappeal.com)
- Near-Record For Predators: Also in Tennessee, the Predators’ series-clinching Game 6 win over the Ducks earned a 3.6 rating on SportSouth in the Nashville market Sunday, the second-highest rating ever for a playoff game on the network. (NHL)
- Bulls Score Big For CSN, Again: Game 5 of the Pacers/Bulls series earned a 10.93 rating on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, the second-highest rating ever for a Bulls game on the network. Only Game 3 on April 21 drew better numbers (13.69). Keep in mind Game 5 also on both CSN Chicago and TNT, while Game 3 aired only on CSN Chicago. (csnchicago.com)
