For the second straight game, the resurgent, defending champion Blackhawks set a ratings record on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
The Blackhawks’ overtime Game 6 win over the Canucks earned a 12.45 rating on CSN Chicago Sunday night, the highest rating ever for a Blackhawks game on the network.
The previous record was set last Thursday night, by Blackhawks/Canucks Game 5 (10.58). Prior to this year, the record was 10.14 for last year’s Blackhawks/Canucks Game 3.
The Blackhawks, once down 3-0 in the series, have won the last three to force a deciding Game 7.
So far, CSN Chicago has averaged an 8.13 rating for the Blackhawks/Canucks series, up 35% from last year’s first round action (6.02).
