The NFL Network canceled two previously scheduled live football telecasts this weekend in favor of offseason NFL coverage.
NFL Network preempted Friday’s Sharks/Predators Arena Football League quarterfinal game to air coverage of NFL player movement. The game aired live on NFL.com, and a tape-delayed broadcast of the game aired on NFL Network early Sunday morning.
The network is currently scheduled to carry two more AFL playoff games, including one telecast this Friday and the Arena Bowl on August 12.
In addition to Friday’s preemption, NFL Network reportedly also bumped Saturday’s Stampeders/Roughriders Canadian Football League telecast.
