NHL analyst Jeremy Roenick will stay with NBC Sports for the next half-decade.
Roenick, reports The Globe & Mail, recently agreed to a five-year deal with NBC Sports to continue as an NHL analyst on the network.
It was not immediately clear whether Roenick would have an expanded role on NBC and NBC Sports Network (currently Versus), where he has worked as an analyst over the past two seasons.
Roenick is just the latest NBC NHL analyst to receive a new contract. This summer alone, Mike Emrick, Dave Strader and Pierre McGuire have signed new deals, with Emrick and Strader leaving local play-by-play gigs to work for NBC exclusively.
