The second English Premier League telecast on FOX had a slight rise in viewership compared to the first telecast in September.
Sunday’s tape delayed Tottenham/Arsenal EPL match earned a 1.1 final rating and 1.626 million viewers on FOX, up a tick in ratings and 1% in viewership from the network’s first EPL telecast last month (MANU/CHE: 1.0, 1.611M).
Depending on the market, the match aired either before (2:00 PM ET) or after (4:30 PM ET) NFL coverage on FOX.
New Orleans led all markets for the match, with a 2.5 rating. New Orleans was also the top market for the Manchester United/Chelsea match in September (10.2).
Kansas City (3.2), Las Vegas (2.8), Dallas-Ft. Worth (2.7), and Jacksonville (2.6) rounded out the top five.
Earlier in the day, live coverage of the match drew 301,000 viewers on Fox Soccer Channel and 200,000 viewers on Fox Deportes. Overall, the combined audience for the match equaled 2.127 million viewers, down 16% from Manchester United/Chelsea (2.5M).
