In primetime for the second time this season, Notre Dame was not much of a draw for NBC last week.
Last week’s Maryland/Notre Dame game earned a 1.3 final rating and 2.077 million viewers on NBC, down 19% in ratings and 9% in viewership from the network’s sixth Notre Dame telecast last year (TULSA/ND: 1.6, 2.288M), and down 7% and 11%, respectively, from the sixth such telecast in 2009, which also aired in primetime (WSU/ND: 1.4, 2.339M).
The game ranks as the lowest rated and least-viewed primetime Notre Dame game on NBC (four telecasts).
Of the six college football games on broadcast last week, Maryland/Notre Dame ranked dead last.
