Overnight ratings for the Pro Bowl declined for the first time since the game moved to the week before the Super Bowl.
The 2012 NFL Pro Bowl earned a 7.9 overnight rating on NBC Sunday night, down 8% from last year (8.6, FOX), and down a tick from 2010 (8.0, ESPN). The 7.9 overnight is still the third-best for the Pro Bowl since 2000 (8.7, ABC).
Despite the decline, the Pro Bowl tied the 2011 MLB All-Star Game (7.9, FOX), and topped the 2011 NBA All-Star Game (6.2, TNT).
The last time the Pro Bowl aired on NBC (2009), the game earned a 5.8 overnight.
