- Daytona Rain Delay Tops the Weekend: Rain delay coverage of the 2012 Daytona 500 earned a 4.7 final rating and 7.7 million viewers on FOX February 25, according to Sports Business Daily, the most-viewed event of that weekend. The delay earned better numbers than the NBA All-Star Game later that day (4.4, 7.070M).
- Mixed Numbers For Accenture Match Play on NBC: Final round coverage of the Accenture Match Play Championship had a 35% increase in ratings and 30% increase in viewership from the previous year. Meanwhile, third round action the previous day was down 24% in both measures.
- Heat/Blazers Leads the Week For the NBA: Excluding the All-Star festivities, Thursday’s Heat/Trail Blazers game was the highest rated and most-viewed NBA telecast of the week, up 50% in ratings and 45% in viewership from last year’s comparable game (DEN/UTA: 1.0, 1.471M).
