After ratings surged for Tiger Woods‘ win last year, final round ratings for The Memorial fell substantially for his 65th place finish.
Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Memorial Tournament earned a 1.8 final rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, down 49% from last year (3.5), but up 38% from rain-affected coverage in 2011 (1.3).
The 1.8 rating is the fourth-lowest for final round coverage since at least 1996, ahead of only 2011, 2008 (1.6), and 2000 (1.4). Like the 2011 telecast, the 2000 final round was affected by rain.
On Saturday, third round coverage drew a 1.5 final rating — down 38% from last year (2.4), but up a tick from 2011 (1.4).
