CBSSN to Air American Athletic Games
- The CBS Sports Network will televise American Athletic Conference football and basketball games through the 2019-20 academic year under a sub-licensing agreement with ESPN. This year, CBSSN will televise 25 men’s basketball games, starting with Louisville/Rutgers and Houston/USF on January 4. From 2014 to the conclusion of the deal, CBSSN will air 30 men’s basketball and 13-15 football games per year. (CBS Sports)
NBC to Air On-Site Pregame For Notre Dame Games
- NBC Sports announced Wednesday the launch of an on-site pregame show for NBC’s seven Notre Dame football telecasts. The new show — which features NBC’s usual college football studio crew of Liam McHugh, Hines Ward and Doug Flutie — will air on NBC prior to the August 31 Temple/Notre Dame game, and on NBC Sports Network in all other weeks. NWSL Playoffs to Air on Fox Sports 2
- The playoffs of the National Women’s Soccer League will air on Fox Sports 2, it was announced Wednesday. Coverage will begin on Saturday with one semifinal at 2 PM ET and the other at 8 PM. Fox Sports is in the midst of a one-year deal to televise NWSL matches. (Fox Sports)
