With Keith Olbermann off to host the baseball playoffs on TBS, his eponymous ESPN show will rely on guest hosts until late October.
ESPN announced Thursday that Olbermann will leave his ESPN2 show from September 30 to October 21 to host the MLB playoffs on TBS. The show will continue to air on a limited basis, airing from Tuesdays through Thursdays with guest hosts.
The highest profile guest host will be former CNN host Larry King, who will anchor the show from October 1-3.
The other guests filling in for Olbermann are ESPN regulars Jeremy Schaap (October 8-10) and Colin Cowherd (October 15-17).
Olbermann is entering his first and potentially only year anchoring the baseball playoffs for Turner Sports. His agreement with Turner — a one-year deal with an option for another — was announced before he joined ESPN over the summer.
