MLB Tiebreaker Down on TBS
- Monday’s Rays/Rangers Major League Baseball tiebreaker earned a 2.4 overnight rating on TBS, down 47% from the last tiebreaker game — Tigers/Twins in 2009 (4.5). The 2.4 is the lowest overnight for a tiebreaker game since 2007, when the Rockies/Padres tiebreaker earned the same number. (Sports Business Daily)
MLB on FOX Finale Has Boost in Overnights
- Regional Major League Baseball action featuring Pirates/Reds in 72% of markets earned a 1.4 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, up 27% from covearge featuring Tigers/Twins last year (1.1), but down 26% from coverage featuring Red Sox/Yankees in 2011 (1.9). “Olbermann” Averages 187K During First Month
- ESPN2 has averaged a 0.2 U.S. rating and 187,000 viewers for episodes of “Olbermann” talk show so far this year. The show has averaged a 0.2 rating among adults 25-54, and a 0.1 among adults 18-34 and 18-49. Keep in mind the show has been frequently moved to later timeslots to accomodate live sporting events.
