FOX earned mixed numbers for NFL action on Thanksgiving weekend.
The Week 13 Packers/Lions NFL regular season game drew a 13.4 final rating and 28.3 million viewers on FOX Thanksgiving Day, down 4% in ratings but up 4% in viewership from Texans/Lions on CBS last year (13.9, 27.3M), and down 9% and 6%, respectively, from Packers/Lions in 2011 (14.8, 30.2M).
Packers/Lions ranks as the third-most viewed NFL telecast of the season, trailing only the Raiders/Cowboys Thanksgiving game on CBS (31.7M) and the Week 1 national window on FOX (28.5M).
FOX had a less impressive performance on Sunday. The network’s Week 13 singleheader, featuring Rams/49ers, drew a 9.9 rating and 16.5 million viewers — down 21% in ratings and viewership from coverage featuring Packers/Vikings last year (12.6, 20.9M), and down 14% and 13%, respectively, from coverage on CBS in 2011 (11.5, 19.0M).
The 9.9 rating is the lowest of the season for the singleheader on FOX (seven telecasts).
