Overnight ratings sank for TCU’s high-scoring rout of Texas Tech.
The Texas Tech/TCU college football game drew a 0.9 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, down 65% from Texas Tech/Oklahoma last year, a rain delayed game that concluded on Fox News Channel (2.6), and down 31% from Texas Tech/Kansas State in 2012 (1.3).
TCU scored a Big 12 record 82 points in 55-point drubbing of the Red Raiders.
As could be expected, the 0.9 overnight was the lowest of the weekend for college football on broadcast. Head-to-head, the game was trounced by Mississippi State/Kentucky on CBS and Michigan/Michigan State on ABC.
Shifting to Fox Sports 1, Utah’s close win over USC drew a 0.7 overnight.
