Easily the highest-profile college basketball game to ever air on FOX, Mike Krzyzewski‘s 1,000th win earned a solid overnight.
The Duke/St. John’s college basketball game drew a 1.5 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon, the highest ever for college hoops on the network (five telecasts dating back to last season). The previous high was a mere 0.6 for Ohio State/Marquette in November 2013 and Syracuse/Villanova in December.
The Blue Devils’ win topped all four college basketball games on CBS over the weekend — Kansas/Texas, Ohio State/Indiana and Louisville/Pittsburgh (1.0 each) and UCLA/Oregon (0.8).
Head-to-head, the game trailed the Heat/Bulls (2.3) and Thunder/Cavaliers (3.4) NBA games on ABC.
