CBS earned big numbers for its lone Divisional Round game.
The Colts/Broncos NFL Divisional Round game drew a 25.4 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, up 1% from Chargers/Broncos last year (25.1) and up 7% from Texans/Patriots in 2012 (23.8). The 25.4 is the second-highest for an AFC Divisional Round game since Colts/Chiefs on NBC in 1996 (26.1).
The only Divisional Round game to earn a higher overnight over that span was Jets/Patriots in 2011 (26.2).
CORRECTION 1/13: The initial version of this post, citing ShowBuzz Daily, reported that Colts/Broncos had a 24.7 overnight. It has since been updated with the 25.4 provided by CBS in a Monday press release.
The Colts’ win trailed Cowboys/Packers on FOX earlier in the day (26.2), marking the first time since 2010 that the late Sunday window was not the highest rated of the Divisional Round.
