The lowest profile game of the Divisional Round was also the lowest rated in the metered markets.
The Panthers/Seahawks NFL Divisional Round game drew an 18.8 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, down 3% from Patriots/Colts on CBS last year (19.4) but up a tick from Packers/49ers on FOX in 2013 (18.7).
The 18.8 is the fifth-highest for the Saturday night Divisional Round window (14 telecasts dating back to 2002), and the highest when AFC games are excluded.
Despite the relatively high numbers, the Seahawks’ win was the lowest rated game of the Divisional Round in the metered markets. The other three each topped the 20.0 mark. This year was the tenth of the past fourteen that the Saturday afternoon Divisional Round game has outdrawn the Saturday night game.
