With Tiger Woods‘ presence limited to the first two days, overnight ratings for the Phoenix Open were virtually unchanged from last year.
Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Phoenix Open drew a 2.5 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, down a tick from last year (2.6) and down 24% from Phil Mickelson‘s win in 2013 (3.3). The 2.5 is the lowest for final round coverage of the event since 2012 (2.0).
Tiger Woods played in the event for the first time since 2001, but failed to make the cut.
Saturday’s third round coverage drew a 1.7 overnight, down 15% from last year (2.0) and down 19% from 2013 (2.1). The 1.7 is the lowest for third round action since 2012 (1.6).
Though down from last year, the two windows earned the top non-NFL overnights of the weekend on broadcast.
