The Premier Boxing Champions series returned to NBC with softer numbers.
The second edition of the PBC on NBC earned a 1.9 overnight rating on NBC Saturday night, down 24% from the debut telecast in March (2.5). The overnight peaked at 2.4 from 10:30-11 PM ET, down 20% from the peak half-hour of the March telecast (3.0).
Compared to the most recent PBC event on broadcast, an afternoon window on CBS the previous Saturday, the overnight increased by 73% (1.9 to 1.1). The 1.9 also stacks up favorably to the UFC on FOX, topping five of the last seven editions of the series.
Cincinnati was the top market for Saturday’s telecast with a 3.6 rating. Sacramento (3.0), Tulsa (2.9), Philadelphia (2.9) and Detroit (2.8) rounded out the top five. Host market New York ranked tenth with a 2.5.
