UniMás Hits Six-Year High For Liga MX Quarterfinal
- The second leg of the Chivas/Atlas Liga MX Clausura quarterfinal earned a 0.8 final rating and 1.7 million viewers on UniMás Sunday night, the network’s most-watched Liga MX quarterfinal since the 2009 Apertura season. The match also had a 0.4 and 802,000 on Univision Deportes Network. In other quarterfinal action, the second leg of América/Pachuca drew a 0.7 and 1.4 million on Univision Saturday night. Postponed Indy 500 Qualifying Down on ABC
- ABC earned a 0.8 final rating and 1.1 million viewers for IndyCar Series coverage last Sunday, down 20% in ratings and 24% in viewership from last year (1.0, 1.5M). The telecast was to feature qualifying for the Indianapolis 500, but that was pushed back due to an accident earlier in the day. ESPNEWS earned a 0.1 and 195,000 for the eventual qualifying session. Big Drop For Rangers/Red Sox on Wednesday Night Baseball
- The Rangers/Red Sox Wednesday Night Baseball game drew 537,000 viewers on ESPN, down 35% from Yankees/Mets last year (824K) but up 15% from Red Sox/Rays in 2013 (467K). The Rangers’ win earned the fourth-smallest audience of the season on the ESPN family of networks (25 telecasts). The five least-watched games have been Wednesday night telecasts.
