The PGA Tour continue to deliver ratings gains over last year.
Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Quail Hollow Championship drew a 2.1 final rating on CBS last Sunday, up 17% from last year (1.8) and even with tape-delayed coverage in 2013. Viewership was not immediately available.
The 2.1 rating is the highest for final round coverage of the tournament since 2012 (2.3).
Seven of the last ten final round PGA Tour telecasts (including The Masters and the WGC Match Play) have had a double-digit increase in final ratings. The only exceptions have been the Texas Open (-13%), the New Orleans Classic (-6%) and the WGC Match Play (-17%).
Third round action last Saturday drew a 1.4 final rating, up 27% from last year (1.1) but down 13% from 2013 (1.6).
