Gold Cup Hits English-Language High on FOX
- Last Saturday’s United States/Cuba CONCACAF Gold Cup match drew a 0.9 final rating and 1.5 million viewers on the FOX broadcast network, the largest audience of the tournament on an English-language network. The 0.9 rating is even with the 2013 USA/El Salvador semifinal, which also aired on FOX.
PBC on CBS Up From Previous Edition
- The latest edition of the Premier Boxing Champions earned a 0.8 final rating and 1.1 million viewers on CBS last Saturday, up a tick in ratings and 21% in viewership from the network’s previous telecast in June (0.7, 868K). The telecast earned the third-smallest PBC audience on broadcast television, ahead of only coverage on NBC in May (1.0M) and the aforementioned CBS telecast in June.
Celebrity Golf Mixed on NBC
- Coverage of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament drew a 0.6 final rating and 876,000 viewers on NBC last Sunday, flat in ratings and up 1% in viewership from last year (0.6, 865K). The previous day’s coverage had a 0.5 and 699,000 — down a tick and 8%, respectively, from last year (0.6, 762K). Both telecasts were trounced head-to-head by British Open encore coverage on ABC.
