Lower Overnights For Saturday’s Primetime CFB on ESPN
- The Texas A&M/Arkansas college football game drew a 1.85 overnight rating on ESPN Saturday night, down 1% from last year’s Mississippi State/LSU game (1.87) and down 5% from Auburn/LSU in 2013 (1.94). The USC/Arizona State nightcap had a 1.7, down 19% from Oregon/Washington State last year; there was no comparable window in 2013. ESPN also scored a 1.8 overnight for Oklahoma State/Texas in the afternoon; last year’s mark was unavailable.
MLB on FOX Earns Season-Low Overnight
- Regional Major League Baseball action on FOX had a 1.15 overnight rating Saturday afternoon, the lowest of the season on the network (10 telecasts). The previous mark was a 1.3, set twice over the summer. Compared to last year, the overnight dropped 23% from a 1.5.
Rare Increase For NASCAR Xfinity Series
- NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from Kentucky drew a 0.6 overnight rating on NBCSN Saturday night, up a tick from last year (0.5) and even with 2013, both on ESPNEWS. The 0.6 is tied with Iowa and Richmond as the lowest of the season for an Xfinity race (27 telecasts).
