Premier Boxing Champions Debuts Low on FS1
- The debut of the Premier Boxing Champions on Fox Sports 1 earned just 184,000 viewers Tuesday night, easily the smallest audience for the series on any network. The previous low was 241,000 for NBCSN’s debut in July. Despite the minuscule audience, the telecast was the Tuesday’s top program on FS1. (via Sports TV Ratings)
USA Soccer Friendly Hits High
- Tuesday’s United States/Brazil men’s soccer friendly drew 1.0 million viewers on ESPN, easily the largest audience for a USA friendly this year (10 telecasts). The previous high was 806,000 for a match against Mexico in April, which aired on Fox Sports 1. In other action Tuesday night, a Mexico/Argentina friendly drew 724,000 viewers. Mixed Numbers For ESPN’s MLB Wednesday Doubleheader
- The Mets/Nationals Wednesday Night Baseball game scored 877,000 viewers on ESPN, down 14% from Red Sox/Yankees last year (1.0M) and down 21% from Tigers/Red Sox in 2013 (1.1M). In the nightcap, Dodgers/Angels drew 788,000 — up 63% from Diamondbacks/Padres last year (485K) and up 49% from Rays/Angels in 2013 (530K). (via ShowBuzz Daily)
