Mixed Numbers For Primetime CFB on ESPN
- The Mississippi/Florida college football game drew a 2.5 overnight rating on ESPN Saturday night, up 32% from Missouri/South Carolina last year (1.9) and even with Mississippi/Alabama in 2013. In the nightcap, Colorado/Oregon had a 1.5 — down 17% from Oregon State/USC last year (1.8) but up 25% from Stanford/Washington State in 2013 (1.2).
FOX Ends MLB Season With Increase
- Regional Major League Baseball action on FOX earned a 1.2 overnight rating Saturday afternoon, up 20% from Yankees/Red Sox last year (1.0) and down 14% from regional coverage in 2013 (1.4). The 1.2 is tied with the previous week as the lowest of the season on FOX (11 telecasts).
NBC Ties Season’s Second-Best EPL Overnight
- NBC scored a 0.8 overnight rating for Saturday’s Chelsea/Southampton English Premier League match, tying the second-highest mark on any network this season. Chelsea/Swansea City on opening weekend holds the top spot (0.9). There was no comparable window last year, but the match increased 60% from West Ham/Manchester City on the comparable week of the 2013 season. In other action, NBCSN drew a 0.6 for Arsenal/Manchester United Sunday morning — tied as the third-highest of the season on cable.
